About The Position

RBC Wealth Management is seeking winter co-ops for several Administrative Assistant roles to join their team. These roles offer students the opportunity to gain in-depth, hands-on experience while working and learning alongside experienced professionals. As part of a dynamic team, the co-op will be responsible for assisting Investment Counsellors or Investment Advisors and other team members in providing exceptional client experiences. The application will be reviewed for consideration across multiple roles within RBC Dominion Securities, RBC PH&N Investment Counsel, RBC Royal Trust, RBC Private Banking, RBC Wealth Management Financial Services, and RBC Global Asset Management.

Requirements

  • Must have Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • High level of time management and organization skills
  • Demonstrated skills in providing world-class client service that will come across as professional, warm, and friendly to our clients
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be returning to school after the work term end-date, or if graduating, the full work term must be a mandatory component for graduation.

Nice To Haves

  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH)
  • Knowledge of RBC Dominion Securities’ systems and procedures
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.
  • Interest in the Canadian investment landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and prepare meetings for Advisors with their clients/prospects.
  • Provide proactive client service with a focus on problem resolution and attention to detail.
  • Liaise with various departments for execution, where necessary.
  • Assist the Advisor team with client onboarding and maintenance of existing client accounts.
  • Ensure accurate and timely updates of all necessary documentation in compliance with internal controls and industry regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain complete and up-to-date client files within appropriate systems.
  • Support Advisor team and client through the Wealth Management process and maintain audit of Wealth Management Activities and priorities.
  • Stay current with all RBC Policies & Procedures.
  • Provide support on assigned projects, conducting research, and sharing information with the team.
  • Answering basic inquiries and resolving routine problems regarding products and services via calls, email, or internet chat.
  • Ensure trades are processed accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Manage all aspects of account opening and documentation and maintain client cash flows and balances.
