About The Position

As an Administrative Assistant at Centrus Energy, you will provide essential administrative and operational support to department leadership and technical teams, helping ensure the efficient execution of daily business activities. From coordinating calendars, meetings, and travel to preparing reports, maintaining records, and supporting document control activities, you will play a key role in keeping departmental operations organized, accurate, and compliant. The Administrative Assistant provides comprehensive administrative support to the Technical Services department by coordinating day-to-day office operations, facilitating communication, and maintaining accurate documentation and records. Responsibilities include preparing, proofreading, and distributing correspondence, reports, presentations, and other business documents; managing calendars, scheduling meetings, coordinating travel arrangements, and supporting departmental events and activities. The role is responsible for maintaining document control and configuration management systems, processing purchase requisitions and invoices, monitoring office supply inventory, compiling data for reports and budget tracking, and serving as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. The Administrative Assistant also supports departmental compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements by ensuring documentation is complete, organized, and maintained in accordance with established standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 5+ years of administrative, clerical, executive support, or customer service experience
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat
  • Excellent organizational, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with exceptional attention to detail while maintaining confidentiality
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a "Q" security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
  • Experience supporting engineering, technical, manufacturing, scientific, or project-based organizations
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion, Oracle ERP, or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
  • Knowledge of records management practices, SharePoint, and electronic document management systems
  • Experience coordinating travel, meetings, expense reporting, and purchasing activities
  • Experience working in a regulated, government, nuclear, or Department of Energy environment
  • Current "Q" or "L" security clearance
