This part-time position supports the capacity-building year of the Ut Prosim in Action initiative, a grant-funded project advancing civic virtue and character education across the undergraduate experience at Virginia Tech. The assistant provides scheduling, tracking, and documentation support to a five-person project team as it conducts faculty outreach, builds community partnerships, and prepares a larger follow-on grant proposal. The role involves managing many small moving pieces, including roughly 60 or more individual contacts, and is suited to someone organized, comfortable with spreadsheets and scheduling tools, and attentive to detail. The position is restricted, non-exempt, and eligible for overtime. It pays $22 per hour and is scheduled for 25–30 hours per week. The successful candidate must complete a criminal conviction check.
