About The Position

The University of Arkansas Rich Mountain’s main campus in Mena is situated on a pristine 40-acre campus at the foot of Arkansas’ second highest peak, Rich Mountain, with satellite campuses located in Waldron and Mount Ida. A two-year public community college offering six associate degrees, seven associate workforce degrees, fifteen technical/certificate programs and a growing list of athletic programs, UA Rich Mountain provides transformative education to all learners with an average 14:1 student to faculty ratio. This is a temporary (fixed term) clerical position within the Adult Education Division.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Accurate data entry and recordkeeping skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with employees, customers, and the public.
  • Ability to learn office procedures, policies, and software systems.
  • Basic mathematical and problem-solving skills.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to perform basic office tasks such as filing, copying, scanning, and operating standard office equipment.
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or additional coursework in business administration, office management, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous office, clerical, customer service, or administrative experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate attendance and scholastic records of students. Submit student and personal data as requested.
  • Cooperate with the full-time Adult Education instructor in order to maintain course continuity.
  • Administer intake testing, evaluate student performance, and provide instruction based on student needs to complete the required course of instruction.
  • Implement and update learning plan for each student.
  • Provide instruction, feedback, and performance evaluation to students using state approved materials.
  • Willing to travel occasionally for trainings.
