This position provides advanced administrative support to faculty and their research lab staff within Research Support Services. The role involves gathering, organizing, and supplying information, maintaining files, scheduling appointments, arranging meetings, and producing correspondence and documents. The Administrative Assistant acts as a liaison between assigned staff and various institutional offices, including the Scientific Director's Office and the Office of Sponsored Research Administration, as well as external administrative areas. This role often serves as the first point of contact for visitors, collaborators, and job candidates. The Research Administrative Assistant (RAA) is distinguished by the degree of autonomy and professionalism expected, as well as the specialized knowledge and skills required to successfully support grant-funded research.
