To learn more about CIBC, please visit CIBC.com What You'll Be Doing The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing general and specialized administrative support for the Commercial Real Estate group. The role serves as a team point of contact, maintaining a well-organized unit with a focus on client service. The Administrative Assistant demonstrates solid working knowledge of all concepts, terminology and specialized administrative requirements, monitoring and coordinating established activities while distributing information to ensure the unit runs as planned. The role works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, and recommends improvements to procedural or administrative processes. In addition, the role maintains equipment and office supplies and maintains a running account of expenditures for the Manager. Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day administration support to the Commercial Real Estate (CRE) team and work closely with the Executive Assistant. This includes expense reports, travel, calendar invites, and meeting set-ups.
  • Receive visitors and answer phone calls, provide information, and refer visitors/callers to appropriate individuals using judgment of sensitivity and confidentiality.
  • Proactively lead the onboarding of new employees across CRE, ensuring a high-touch positive experience for new Team Members.
  • Actively manage and update the roster of CRE team members with critical information to ensure a comprehensive real-time view of the CRE Team.
  • Involvement in various projects and initiatives across CRE to ensure collaboration, alignment and execution with pace and precision.
  • Connect on a personal level to make every interaction meaningful.
  • Enhance relationships by collaborating with your team and providing administrative support to ensure client needs are met.
  • Respond to requests by answering questions and providing an exceptional experience.
  • Heighten CIBC brand awareness in your community by attending local events and participating in marketing and outreach activities.
  • Grow your network to create lasting connections that will generate future opportunities.
  • Work closely with your team to connect clients with the right opportunities.
  • Support Investment Advisors by providing timely responses to client requests and maintaining compliance standards in all files.
  • Enable team success by improving team productivity, proactively uncovering business opportunities, and helping to direct assets into the right financial products.

  • This role has an expected salary range of $58,000 - $68,000 for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position.
  • The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
