About The Position

Northwest Cascade has an immediate opportunity for an Administrative Assistant to support the Contract and Compliance Staff. Our Contract and Compliance Staff is responsible for reviewing, negotiating, and drafting all necessary documents to support operations. Additionally, the staff maintains, and processes paperwork for our public works projects. Prioritizing and meeting deadlines for time sensitive projects is critical. We are looking for a person that has an eagerness and ability to learn the contracts process, practices and procedures. The Administrative Assistant will have the opportunity to perform and assist with the following duties: Support staff through research, typing, correspondence, faxes and filing. Maintain office filing and storage systems by filing and retrieve documents, records and reports. Coordinate the negotiation, execution and monitoring/compliance of contracts. Handle all paperwork required to obtain approval of work not previously covered in a contract; process and obtain approval of contract changes Compile data and prepare accurate spreadsheets for review by Project Managers. Establishes and updates records of all correspondence related to contract activity Serves customers by backing up Customer Service Representatives, answering questions, forwarding messages, confirming customer orders and keeping customers informed on order status.

Requirements

  • An important aspect to the job is a willingness to learn and compile a wide variety of contracts in the areas of construction and professional services.
  • We are looking for a person that has an eagerness and ability to learn the contracts process, practices and procedures.
  • Attention to detail, proofreading and extensive writing tasks will be required
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, presentation, and written)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Windows/Office
  • Experience reading large, complex documents and ability to be able to summarize main ideas and pinpoint areas where additional information is needed.
  • Ability to productively and effectively work independently on assigned tasks as required.
  • Knowledge of general office practices
  • Knowledge of filing and general record keeping

Responsibilities
