About The Position

Queens-Long Island Renal Institute, located on the lobby level of the renowned Parker Jewish Institute for Healthcare and Rehabilitation in New Hyde Park, New York, is seeking a Per Diem Administrative Assistant, skilled in administrative support and a strong health care background to join our team of professionals. QLIRI provides state-of-the-art in-center hemodialysis treatment for kidney disease patients. Our experienced interdisciplinary team of nephrologists and renal nurses offer chronic dialysis services in a comfortable and modern setting. Located on the Queens-Nassau boarder, Queens-Long Island Renal Institute has a longstanding reputation for the finest quality of care, state-of-the-art technology and uncompromised dignity. The Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the dialysis center by welcoming and assisting patients, residents, staff and visitors, setting up appointments, answering calls, and other administrative tasks pertaining to the operations of Queens-Long Island Renal Institute.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Prior experience working in a secretary or support role in a health care environment
  • Knowledgeable of medical terminology
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills; able to communicate pleasantly and effectively with patients, residents, staff and visitors
