About The Position

Parish: Saint Jude Shrine of the West Location: 1129 S. 38th Street, San Diego, CA 92113 Reports to: Office Manager Employment Type: Part-Time, 16 hours per week; Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Salary: $18/hr. Key Responsibilities Greet and assist visitors Answer, screen, and direct incoming calls and emails; take messages and respond to inquiries Perform clerical/secretarial duties for the Pastor and staff Communicate effectively in both English and Spanish Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages & deliveries Assist with scheduling appointments, meetings, the use of parish facilities, celebrations, and Masses Prepare and send regular and bulk mailings Maintain the parish database and records up-to-date Maintain office files, records, and archives organized Prepare and distribute announcements and correspondence as directed Provide administrative support for ministries, events, and parish activities Ensure sensitive information is handled confidentially and securely. Requirements

  • Fluent in both Spanish and English (spoken and written) - required
  • Prior experience in reception, customer service, or administrative work
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic office equipment
  • Warm, welcoming demeanor with the ability to work well with diverse groups of people
  • Knowledge and familiarity with the organizational structure and practices of the Roman Catholic Church
