About The Position

Snow College is seeking an enthusiastic, highly skilled, and self-motivated Administrative Assistant for its Career Center in Richfield. This role is crucial in supporting students to achieve career success by assisting them in securing employment, internships, and other career-building experiences. The Administrative Assistant will work under minimal supervision, utilizing sound judgment and initiative to support the Career Center team and manage a variety of administrative functions. This position involves interacting with students and employers, aiding in recruiting and job placement, assisting with events and marketing, and maintaining data systems for reporting and outcome tracking.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent professional experience (2+ years)
  • One or more years of administrative experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to learn and effectively use databases and student information systems
  • Strong written communication skills, including grammar and proofreading
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with students, employers, faculty, staff, and community members
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management

Nice To Haves

  • One year of working with student populations
  • One year in a professional services office capacity
  • Banner/BadgerWeb experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide front-line customer service by greeting visitors, answering phones and emails, scheduling appointments, and sharing information in a professional and welcoming manner.
  • Support data collection efforts, including exit and satisfaction surveys, and assist in compiling and reporting outcomes.
  • Assist employers with job postings, candidate engagement, and event participation.
  • Coordinate and support events such as job fairs, networking events, employer visits, and on-campus interviews.
  • Process purchases, managing office supplies, and complete p-card reconciliation.
  • Coach students and alumni on resumes, job search strategies, networking, and professional development (in person, via Teams, or email).
  • Maintain and update office documents, databases, and digital files.
  • Assist with marketing efforts, including website content, digital displays, and social media; collaborate with the promotions intern.
  • Track and manage data related to student employment, internships, and career outcomes using systems such as Banner.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by the Career Center Director.
