About The Position

The Administrative Assistant supports the Bishop's and Chancery offices. The position's support involves data and file management, general correspondence, expense reports, event planning, and general administrative support.

Requirements

  • At least two years of college or equivalent work experience
  • At least five years' experience in an administrative capacity
  • Excellent communication skills and telephone manner
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word
  • Lift files, office supplies, laptop, generally under 10 pounds
  • Sit for extended periods
  • Keyboarding/Mouse use involves repetitive motions of wrists, hands, and fingers

Nice To Haves

  • preferably with a not-for-profit organization
  • working knowledge of Excel is a plus
  • Knowledge of mail merge is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Update physical file storage (including Archives) and electronic file management (Crypta)
  • Event lead for Pastoral Center events; assists with planning and execution of office on- site and off-site events
  • Expense report preparation and submission
  • Composing and tracking routine general correspondence
  • Triaging incoming phone calls
  • Assists the Bishop's office and Chancery with administrative support as assigned
  • Performs other duties as assigned
