About The Position

Northrop Grumman Space Sector is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the Space Systems Business Development (BD) organization. This position will be located in McLean, VA or Falls Church, VA. The role requires a collaborative approach, strong communication skills, and discretion when interacting with leadership. The ideal candidate will be proactive, self-motivated, well-organized, and detail-oriented, capable of independently solving administrative issues in a fast-paced environment with high expectations and competing priorities. The position involves supporting executive leadership and requires the ability to manage sensitive engagements and logistics for meetings of varying classification levels across different computer networks.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 5+ years of professional administrative support in a law firm or other corporate setting.
  • Extensive experience with timely and accurate expense reporting for complex travel scenarios.
  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Excel), SharePoint (or equivalent), and intranet/internet proficiency.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to juggle multiple tasks and competing priorities across a geographically dispersed team.
  • Experience interfacing with executive level contacts (internal as well as external).
  • Experience coordinating Outlook calendars, conference calls, and shared applications.
  • Experience coordinating on and off-site meetings and/or events.
  • Experience and proficiency with Concur or SAP for travel and expense reporting systems.
  • Must have DoD Secret security clearance at the time of application.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Active TS/SCI clearance preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support including travel planning, managing expense reports, meeting planning and execution, schedule development and tracking, and budget support.
  • Coordinate events/meetings with other Administrative Assistants & Business Operations leads.
  • Prepare presentation materials for executive leadership teams.
  • Support logistics planning and execution of meetings of varying classification levels that may span multiple computer networks (i.e. unclassified and classified computer systems).
  • Support engagements of a sensitive nature inside and outside the company.
  • Proactively manage calendar, travel, and scheduling conflicts, ensuring the team is well supported.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
