The minimum qualifications outlined below apply to the Administrative Assistant Associate, with increased requirements for the Administrative Assistant and Administrative Assistant Sr levels. The Administrative Assistant performs basic administrative duties, following well-defined, standard procedures; prepares documents, reports, and spreadsheets, etc. as needed to support the business unit. Maintains files and calendars as needed. Utilizes Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Powerpoint as well as other department software/systems as needed. Demonstrates communication and interpersonal skills by listening to and understanding written and verbal instruction, communicating effectively with co-workers and other employees and customers. Works effectively and productively with others, actively helping others with assignments as necessary to maintain department productivity. Exhibits customer focus by answering customer questions, referring questions to others as needed, and actively learning the function of the department to assist customers more effectively. Displays concern and sensitivity to others. Applies basic education and training in job responsibilities and assignments, asks questions when unsure of how to handle an assignment and demonstrates ability and initiative to handle assignments beyond the routine.
