About The Position

This is a full-time position supporting the Logistical Support Services contract for the U.S. Capitol Police. The primary place of performance is 499 South Capitol St SW, Washington, D.C. 20003. The role involves overseeing and managing complex logistics and mission support operations, requiring expertise, leadership, and strategic thinking to ensure the seamless flow of information, equipment, supplies, and materials. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Requirements

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive administrative experience in logistics management or related field.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Advanced analytical skills and the ability to make strategic decisions based on data.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in logistics software, advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, and data analysis tools.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods and lift over 50lbs.
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check & drug test.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a federal government or law enforcement agency.
  • Knowledge of federal regulations and guidelines related to logistics operations.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing procurement requests, travel orders, vouchers, training requests, requisitions, and reconcile purchase orders.
  • Review reports, correspondence, and program analysis documents for accuracy, completeness, and supervisor approval.
  • Explain reporting procedures and requirements to operating officials.
  • Initiate development of new or revised administrative policies and procedures.
  • Compile and distribute reports on program goals, budgets, staffing, and performance criteria.
  • Prepare correspondence, charts, graphs, statistical data, presentations, and reports using office software.
  • Control and maintain records, forms, mail, directives, publications, and information management systems.
  • Respond to information requests, develop administrative reports, and compose correspondence independently.
  • Make routine calculations, including cost estimates, production rates, staffing, and workload figures.
  • Arrange staff meetings, reserve meeting rooms, prepare meeting minutes, and maintain the Division Manager's calendar.
  • Monitor incoming correspondence, publications, regulations, and directives; escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Evaluate and improve correspondence operations across subordinate offices.
  • Perform other assigned duties, including emergency operations support when required.
