The administrative assistant for the wound program reports to the Assistant Director, Wound Program. The administrative assistant performs duties related to the daily operational functions of the wound program including such activities as: fields telephone calls, manages and organizes program policies, procedures, and safety manuals, prepares and submits supply orders, codes and processes invoices, reconciles department expenses, collects wound synopsis (graphs and photos) for product trials and runs reports reflecting program benchmarks and outcomes. Prepares educational presentations and handouts, and maintains various databases, relieves assistant director and director of administrative tasks. The Administrative Assistant plays a pivotal role in supporting prevalence study assignments, facilitating data collection for Quality submissions, and maintaining ongoing communication with unit leadership. This position requires regular interaction with various management team members, medical staff, and peers, necessitating a positive and service-oriented approach to all interactions. In addition to these primary responsibilities, the administrative assistant will also cross-cover for payroll, scheduling, and front desk duties as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in managing diverse administrative tasks. Strong proficiency in software applications is essential for this role, along with adept internet research abilities. Additionally, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
