Access: Supports for Living is seeking an enthusiastic Development Administrative Assistant to support our growing Development Department. This is an entry-level opportunity to build a career in fundraising, nonprofit administration, and events—while having fun along the way.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (experience may substitute, including higher-education-based activities)
  • At least two years of administrative experience, preferably in a Development or Fundraising office
  • Experience managing projects or events is a plus
  • Familiarity with fundraising and project management databases such as Monday.com; Raiser’s Edge, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar systems preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Supporting a capital campaign, including special events, donor relations, fund development, and project coordination
  • Serving as the primary point person for maintaining donor and prospect records in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
  • Creating donor lists, running gift queries, preparing reports, and executing spreadsheets and mail merges
  • Responding promptly and professionally to donor phone calls and email inquiries
  • Preparing donor correspondence and filing donation-related paperwork in electronic systems
  • Scheduling meetings, meal functions, and other logistics as assigned
  • Maintaining the highest level of confidentiality regarding donor information and reports
  • Assisting at special events—including occasional evenings and weekends—and helping oversee volunteers and event logistics
  • With direction, acting as a spokesperson for organizational services and promotions
  • Committing to all workplace, food, and safety policies and reporting any safety concerns immediately
  • Pitching in on other projects as assigned—no two days are exactly the same!
