About The Position

Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified applicants for the Administrative Assistant (Part-Time) position in Dental Hygiene department of the Health of Public Safety division. This position is located at Atlanta Technical College's Main Campus, just south of Downtown Atlanta. Under the general supervision of the Dean of Health and Public Safety Technologies and the Dental Program Coordinator, the Administrative Assistant (Part-Time) serves as the first point of contact for students, faculty, and visitors. This role provides secretarial and clerical support to the unit and acts as a liaison between the program, administrative, and technical operations and clients. This is a part-time position, up to twenty-nine (29) hours per week.

Requirements

  • Must possess and demonstrate a High school diploma or equivalent AND Six (6) months of related work experience
  • Skill in the operation of computers and job-related software programs
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Organization and time management skills
  • Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public
  • Knowledge of expenditure trends, program purposes and results
  • Knowledge of Audiovisual Equipment

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree or higher AND Two (2) years of administrative or office support experience in an educational/healthcare setting.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
  • Ability to handle confidential student and programming information.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clerical and organizational support for all program operations.
  • Manage program scheduling, maintain accurate student records (including admissions documentation and student files), prepare correspondence, and ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
  • Support faculty with communications, course materials, and general administrative needs.
  • Organize and coordinate meetings, including preparing agendas, recording minutes, and tracking follow-up actions.
  • Assist with the daily operation of the clinic facility, including managing appointments, patient records, inventory, hazardous waste, and infection control procedures.
  • Assist with the coordination and execution of special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Division Dean
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
