Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Possesses good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with others
  • High School graduate.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in office and/or health care setting.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provides critical administrative support to the Nursing department in accordance with the Executive Office of Aging & Independence (AGE) and MassHealth regulations, and AgeSpan, Inc. policies, procedures and contractual obligations.
  • Enter data and documentation in program database and or spreadsheet including but not limited to activities and referrals, orders and deliveries, journal notes, and screenings.
  • Create, edit, print, fax, email, save and upload documents per protocol.
  • Monitor and distribute outside correspondence including but not limited to PC & HHA care plans, hospital screens, community requests and related communications.
  • File consumer records/charts/documentation as needed.
  • Understand and follow AGE and MassHealth program regulations and collaborate with Management on changes in program regulations and processes.
  • Prepare packets and mailing and assist with special projects as needed.
  • Attend Team, Home Care, All Staff and other appropriate meetings.
  • Process and mail program required forms and notifications per regulations.
  • Other related duties as required.
