About The Position

The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) is seeking an Administrative Assistant II to join the Department of Nursing at its Henderson campus. This role provides essential administrative support to program directors and faculty, manages departmental operations, and ensures efficient communication and record-keeping. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic academic environment. Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent education.
  • Two or more years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which includes providing administrative/program support to professional staff and management.
  • Performing administrative duties in support of a manager and program.
  • Coordinating communications between the manager, staff and program clientele.
  • Maintaining records and files.
  • Preparing a variety of materials using a computer or word processor.
  • Assisting customers in completing forms and applications.
  • OR one year of experience as an Administrative Assistant I in Nevada State service.
  • OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Providing administrative support to program directors and faculty for departmental programs.
  • Preparing faculty contracts.
  • Coordinating and assisting with processing newly hired faculty and program personnel.
  • Preparing and maintaining budget documents.
  • Answering phones for departmental programs.
  • Working with a variety of general office equipment.
  • Attending various meetings and trainings at various campuses.
  • Interacting with students, faculty and administration.
  • Maintaining accurate records and files.
  • Managing and prioritizing job assignments.
  • Ensuring work products meet established standards of quantity and quality.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
