About The Position

Provide administrative support to Supervisors and Investigators in the Investigations Bureau. This role involves maintaining timekeeping, payroll, arranging training, facilitating phone inquiries, managing databases, data entry, typing, filing, faxing, copying, scanning, assisting with report preparation, running background checks, and maintaining unit files. The position requires regular interaction with the State's Attorney's Office employees and outside agencies, with a strong emphasis on maintaining confidentiality and discretion.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all timekeeping, overtime, time summaries and payroll
  • Arrange training for new investigators, interns or non-FTO investigators
  • Facilitate phone inquiries from investigators on street assignments for various information
  • Maintain various database systems
  • Enter information into the database
  • Type, file, fax, copy, scan
  • Assist in the preparation and production of monthly and yearly reports
  • Run background checks
  • Maintain Investigations Unit paper documents and electronic files
  • Regular interaction with State’s Attorney’s Office employees
  • Interaction with outside agencies
  • Maintain confidentiality of information and the implicit understanding of discretion is required regarding the confidentiality of any requests and/or records obtained
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
