About The Position

We're looking for a motivated hotel management intern who's ready to contribute when needed, and who can keep pace in a dynamic work environment! This aspiring professional will have the opportunity to familiarize himself/herself with a multitude of hotel management tasks: coordinating human resources activities, planning projects, participating in various types of meetings, analyzing data, purchasing and receiving materials, etc., in addition to developing personal skills on a daily basis. We have fall internship opportunities in our hotel Germain Mercer Toronto for a period varying between 3 and 6 months, starting this September 2026.

Requirements

  • Current hospitality student or similar program, an asset
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Positive attitude and natural customer service orientation
  • Ability to adapt to different leadership styles
  • Quick and efficient handling of requests and problems
  • Desire to be familiar with all hotel events, activities and services
  • Knowledge of the Office suite and general computer skills

Responsibilities

  • Assist the management team in the management of hotel projects.
  • Participate in daily operations by producing reports, planning operations, communications, preparing presentations, printing documents, managing expense accounts, etc.
  • Participate in weekly meetings, draft minutes and ensure various follow-ups.
  • Respond cordially, promptly and efficiently to various assigned calls and e-mails.
  • Know and apply the hotel's policies, procedures and service, safety and hygiene standards.
