About The Position

This is a high-trust position requiring sound judgment, professionalism, and strict confidentiality in support of Office of Inspector General operations. Performs independent work assisting the Inspector General and staff in the coordination of administrative objectives and priorities to ensure compliance with Florida Statutes, Administrative Code, and agency policies. Responsible for day-to-day office management including receiving mail, answering main telephone line, performing telephone complaint intake and routing to the appropriate area for assistance. Performs administrative work related to personnel, purchasing, travel, inventory, records management, public records requests, information technology requests, and other office functions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Three (3) years of administrative experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Microsoft Outlook 365 and Copilot proficiency.
  • Experience working with Adobe Pro, MFMP, STMS, and WORKS.
  • Knowledge of laws, government regulations, and agency rules
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft 365 including Copilot and OneDrive
  • Knowledge of prudent leadership practices to reward positive performance, coach for enhanced effectiveness, and counsel to resolve deficiencies
  • Knowledge of administrative principles and practices
  • Knowledge of office procedures and practices
  • Knowledge of Public Records laws and exemptions
  • Ability to collect, evaluate, and analyze data relative to administrative functions such as accounting, personnel, purchasing, and report writing
  • Ability to prepare correspondence and administrative reports
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to effectively interact with consumers/customers
  • Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments
  • Ability to work independently
