About The Position

Weyerhaeuser is searching for an Administrative Assistant to support our lumber facility in Greenville, North Carolina. Our Greenville operation is a random length sawmill primarily producing lumber up to 20 feet in length with some specialty related capacity. Greenville is in beautiful northeastern North Carolina which offers small town charm, outdoor recreational activities and proximity to colleges. Shopping and arts/entertainment are available in neighboring cities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or higher
  • Minimum 1-3 years of administrative experience and/or data analysis and reporting
  • Strong skills with Internet research and MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience working with highly sensitive information while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Strong teambuilding, communication, and organizational skills
  • Flexibility to shift priorities and manage time effectively, handling a variety of work with changing deadlines for multiple team members.
  • Professional manner and excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive and ability to exercise independent judgment

Responsibilities

  • Back up – Entering data for the Daily Production Report
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the management team.
  • Manage and coordinate office communications, including emails, phone calls, and mail.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the office, ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
  • Maintain office supplies inventory and reorder as needed.
  • Coordinate office events, meetings, and appointments.
  • Accurately input and manage data using office software and databases.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date records, both physical and digital.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for visitors and vendors.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and directing individuals to the appropriate contacts.
  • Assist with basic financial tasks such as expense tracking and budget monitoring.
  • Monitor payroll records to ensure accurate payment to employees.
  • Center of expertise regarding being able to answer associates' questions regarding their pay.
  • Manage Log Consumption Daily, adjust as needed (SAP)
  • Complete Closing for GV & PL mills. (Monthly)
  • Support various projects by coordinating tasks, tracking progress, and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues that may arise in the office environment.
  • Juggle multiple tasks and responsibilities efficiently and with a positive attitude.
  • Being able to read and understand Pay Statements.
