About The Position

The Administrative Assistant II provides administrative support for the operations of unit. Performs moderately complex and well documented administrative tasks. Acts as office liaison/receptionist. Receives and routes phone calls, emails, and/or guests. Maintains files and enters data. Drafts and sends communications on supervisor/departmental staff behalf. Reconciles P-Card/Concur for other staff/faculty against departmental budget. Performs some simple budget monitoring/entry. Operates standard office equipment such as personal computers, copiers, fax machines, etc. Provides comprehensive administrative support to the Associate Dean for Strategic Partnerships and Workforce Advancement. Manages the Associate Dean's calendar. Coordinates meetings and events. Supports strategic partnership and workforce advancement initiatives. Maintains communications with internal and external stakeholders. Assists with reports and special projects. Facilitates activities related to healthcare, academic, community, and global partnerships. Plays a critical role in advancing the College's strategic goals through exceptional organization, communication, and customer service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of administrative experience; OR associate’s degree or higher.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with data tracking and reporting.
  • Ability to show discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Strong relationship-management skills.
  • Ability to coordinate complex events and partnership activities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve and to critically think.
  • Ability to maintain positive relationships with students, faculty, staff, and administration.
