The caregivers at Martin North Hospital have made it not only an excellent medical facility, but also a home away from home. As an Administrative Assistant II, you will perform a variety of duties to support the Director of Nursing and seven (7) inpatient Nurse Managers such as scheduling, handling phone calls, greeting customers and correspondence. You will also assist with special projects (LEAN) and management functions. This position is a great entryway to healthcare operations, giving you the opportunity to work closely with different healthcare leaders and be a valued caregiver contributing to the daily success of operations. A caregiver in this position works Monday-Friday from 8:00AM – 5:00PM, with flexibility on start/end times based on business needs. On occasion, you may be asked to cover meetings and other caregiver-related activities before 8:00AM or after 5:00PM. The schedule is provided one month in advance.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED and three years of secretarial experience OR an Associate’s Degree or equivalent formal training in Secretarial Science and two years of experience
• Ability to type 45 WPM

Responsibilities

• Manage and prioritize multiple assignments simultaneously
• Act as a liaison between internal and external customers by greeting customers, answering and triage phone calls.
• Administer calendar and manage schedules.
• Compose and prepare a variety of correspondence (e.g., reports, forms, presentation materials, messages, etc.) as required.
• Provide coverage of other areas such as front end, point of service and registration.
• Coordinate management functions and assist in special projects.
