This position performs independent work assisting management in the handling and coordination of administrative functions in the Division of Law Enforcement at the Northeast Regional Office. Requirements

  • Employment in this position is contingent upon satisfactory criminal history check (fingerprint-based) in accordance with Chapter 435, Florida Statutes and a pre-employment background investigation.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a records liaison. Maintains records and files in accordance with state statutes, agency policy, and standard office practices.
  • Assists law enforcement personnel regarding administrative paperwork or other clerical matters. Examples include, but are not limited to, subpoenas, mail, off-duty paperwork, travel, purchasing, etc.
  • Assists the public in person or by phone.
  • Ensures administrative tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Facilitates procurement and acts as a liaison with vendors regarding goods or services. Enters information into the State of Florida / Bank of America Works system.
  • Prepares and tracks travel authorizations and travel reimbursements in the Statewide Travel Management System.
  • Completes special administrative projects and tasks, including, but not limited to, the development and preparation of various reports, analyses, and other management documents.
  • Serves as the regional point of contact for Deer Depredation Permits and Steel Trap Permits.
  • Provides for the efficient operation of the office by ensuring equipment and supplies are maintained.
  • Works with the regional Property Analyst and Property Custodian on property-related matters.
  • Possess strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment on a daily basis.
  • Performs other related duties and special projects assigned.
