About The Position

This is highly responsible, independent work requiring high level decision-making regarding the processing of new Interstate Compact on Juveniles requests for supervision from the receiving and sending state.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews transfer referral request for appropriate documentation, to include Interstate Compact on Juveniles Forms, court orders, social history, petitions, and rules of probation/parole; and track the acceptance or denial of supervision requests. Ensures compliance with policy, rules and regulations and makes recommendations for placement to Operations and Management Consultant Manager.
  • Complies and reviews for completeness interstate placement requests from circuit staff and staff in other states for the placement and supervision of adjudicated delinquents who are on probation, parole, or conditional release. Makes request for required documentation, home evaluations and supporting official court records both verbally and in writing.
  • Enters secondary disposition of Interstate Compact in the Juvenile Justice Information System for all outgoing supervision transfers. Close out outgoing return transfer supervision cases in the Juvenile Justice Information System.
  • Provides administrative support for Interstate Compact on Juveniles staff. Draft and type correspondences, reports, and routes correspondence to appropriate authorities. Ensures proper numbering and orders. Approves all Purchasing Card transactions for the unit and ensure they are cleared out in Florida Accounting Information Resource, (FLAIR). Prepare and approve direct orders, supply orders and warrants in My Florida Market Place.
  • Monitors the Interstate Compact for Juveniles Extradition budget throughout the year. Maintain expenditure control and provide a quarterly overview of the financial status of the budget.
  • Provides technical assistance to field staff concerning the Interstate Compact for Juveniles procedures. Monitor cases and follow-up in writing to circuit liaisons and juvenile probation officers and Georgia regarding delinquent home evaluations and progress reports on assigned cases.
  • Provides assistance to Operations and Management Consultant Manager by compiling and organizing training materials for regional Interstate Compact on Juveniles training session.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
