About The Position

The Division Early Childhood, Office of Early Childhood (EC) is seeking to hire a dynamic, organized, and detailed-oriented employee to serve as an Administrative Assistant. As the Administrative Assistant, will serve as principal point of contact for Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R's) for client and provider sanctions. Serves as liaison with other divisions and units within the Department regarding the Early Childhood Program.

Requirements

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college, preferably with courses in public or business administration.
  • Requires one (1) year of professional experience in a public or private organization OR Completion of an agency approved professional management training program.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years of professional experience communicating effectively (written and orally) and making recommendations that lead to greater efficiencies and effectiveness within the office and corresponding units.
  • Three (3) years of professional experience performing liaison work as a representative of either an office and/or administrative leader to discuss and/or interpret programs and procedures for the general-public and/or other internal/external entities.
  • Four (4) years of professional experience researching issues and concerns and preparing reports and recommendations for policy and/or procedural changes.
  • Two (2) years of professional customer service experience.
  • Two (2) years of professional experience coordinating projects and prioritizing work with the ability to multi-task and work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as principal point of contact for Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R's) for client and provider sanctions.
  • Reviews and evaluates special Early Childhood projects for planning and management purposes.
  • Conducts inquiries to identify problems affecting the implementation of childcare programs.
  • Serves as liaison with other divisions and units within the Department regarding the Early Childhood Program.
  • Participates in training as necessary to strengthen both staff and the Division.
  • Performs other duties as requires or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
