Under the direction of the pastor, business manager, School Principal, or other assigned manager, this role is responsible for providing secretarial and administrative support and for performing other varied functions as necessary for the school. The employee is expected to be a minister of the Gospel and Catholic Teaching both academically and behaviorally, living in a manner worthy of the call received. This includes recognizing and supporting the Catholic Mission of the Diocese by speaking, acting, and instructing consistent with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, and not espousing any doctrine inconsistent with these teachings. The role requires fostering communication and collaboration with all Parish and diocesan employees, assisting with the communication and record keeping of funerals, baptisms, and weddings, and working with parish ministry leaders to ensure adherence to Diocese of Tucson Guidelines for the Prevention of and Response to Sexual Misconduct and the diocesan Code of Conduct. The position also involves assisting with the orientation and education of new employees and volunteers on the parish safe environment program, maintaining parish registry and other records, assisting with ministry record keeping and communication, helping maintain schedules and notifications for liturgical events, assisting the bulletin editor, and providing support to parish personnel as necessary. Other duties as assigned.
