The state supported living centers serve people with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are medically fragile or who have behavioral problems. The centers provide campus-based direct services and supports at 13 centers located throughout the state. This position will work as the Admissions and Placements (A&P) Administrative Assistant I works under the supervision of the Admissions and Placements Coordinator. Will work under moderate supervision with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement. The A&P Administrative Assistant I performs general to routine secretarial work including, but not limited to: Maintaining organized records and files, providing support to the transition specialists and admission placement coordinators as needed including, but not limited to, making travel arrangements, copies etc., picking up and distributing mail, maintaining adequate supply of forms, typing general routine assignments, applying knowledge of business terminology, clerical procedures, office practices and procedures, applying knowledge of spelling, punctuation, grammar, and arithmetic, applying basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, demonstrating ability to understand and follow general instructions, demonstrating ability to make basic mathematical computations and tabulations, maintaining good relationship with all departments, and following facility attendance policy.
