About The Position

The Human Resources Administrative Assistant contributes to the success of the HR Department by providing day-to-day organizational support to the HR leadership team. The Human Resources Administrative Assistant will provide support in all areas of HR including Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Employee Benefits and Organizational Development.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two to three years experience working in a Human Resources department preferred.
  • Should be able to push/pull, lift/move 15 lb., be able to perform moderately difficult manual manipulations such as using a keyboard, writing, and filing for extended periods of time, must be able to perform tasks which require hand-eye coordination such as data entry, typing and using photo copiers.
  • Mobility requirements may include the ability to be stationary at a workstation for a prolonged period time in addition to being able to squat or be mobile for a reasonable length of time and distance.
  • Communication requirements include the ability to comprehend the spoken English language in addition to being able to communicate and read the English language.

Nice To Haves

  • Two to three years experience working in a Human Resources department.

Responsibilities

  • Meet and greet visitors and direct traffic to the appropriate HR person.
  • Assist with all internal and external HR related inquiries or request.
  • Answers the general HR number, checks voicemails and relays/dispatches calls.
  • Maintains accurate and current HR files, records and documentation (electronic and printed).
  • Arranges calendar for HR Team.
  • Schedules daily/weekly meetings, reserves meeting area and prepares room for meeting.
  • Prepares updates and distributes meeting notes.
  • Evaluates and audits new hire files, following up with recruitment/onboarding areas with any outstanding onboarding documentations.
  • Offers support as needed with tracking and obtaining performance evaluations
  • Process employment verification requests for active and termed employees.
  • Serves as a secondary resource to talent acquisition: Onboarding
  • Prepare and submit reports on general HR activity.
  • Updating and maintain labor law posters.
  • Assist with putting together training and benefit materials.
  • Support other assigned functions.
