About The Position

This role provides comprehensive administrative, fellowship coordination, and financial analysis support within Marshall Pediatrics. The position involves managing secretarial duties, coordinating fellowship programs to ensure accreditation requirements are met, and performing financial analyses for faculty and the department. The ideal candidate will be attentive, helpful, and dedicated to supporting faculty in achieving their goals.

Responsibilities

  • Provides secretarial support including typing, composing and proofreading, and transcribing correspondence.
  • Obtains journal articles as needed.
  • Answers telephone, screens calls, and refers callers/visitors to appropriate individuals.
  • Processes incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Opens, sorts, and prioritizes correspondence.
  • Makes copies as needed.
  • Maintains Outlook calendar for meetings and makes travel arrangements for national meetings.
  • Assists with the preparation of materials, agendas, notes, and handouts, including organizing faculty retreats.
  • Assists with itineraries and on-site support for Visiting Professors and faculty and trainee candidates.
  • Maintains files and equipment.
  • Orders office supplies.
  • Assists other staff as requested.
  • Participates in educational activities and programs.
  • Serves as fellowship coordinator for Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine and Pediatric Hospital Medicine fellowships.
  • Helps Fellowship Program Directors follow RRC requirements for each fellowship to ensure no violations and continued accreditation.
  • Supports physician-fellows.
  • Performs financial analyses for individual faculty and the department.
  • Supports all faculty in obtaining billing and coding information.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
