Fort Bend County is seeking an Administrative Assistant for the Environmental Health Department. This role is responsible for managing information requests under the Public Information Act, processing revenue accounting and daily deposits, reconciling deposits, responding to and monitoring department complaints, and assisting the division manager with special projects. The position also involves cross-training with peers, providing backup support to all staff, assisting visitors, handling high-volume calls and paperwork, and training new employees. Additionally, the role provides direct assistance to the public, offenders, and staff via phone and in-person, assists with active enforcement cases, and mediates between property owners and contractors. The position also participates in emergency management activities during a local state of disaster and requires obtaining a "Designated Representative License" within 6 months of hire.
