About The Position

This is a full-time, 10-month position at Lindbergh High School, working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, following the 2026-2027 student calendar. The role serves in the high school attendance office, completing assignments related to student attendance. The position is classified as LAOP Level C, with a beginning hourly rate of $18.39, subject to experience. Full benefits are included. This is a non-exempt position.

Requirements

  • Experience with SIS (Student Information System).
  • Ability to handle incoming calls and messages.
  • Proficiency in tracking attendance.
  • Skill in following up with parents/guardians.
  • Experience with E-Hall pass systems.
  • Ability to record late arrivals and early dismissals.
  • Capability to verify identification.
  • Experience collecting information, documentation, and forms from families/students.
  • Knowledge of building security procedures for visitors and personnel access.
  • Ability to scan driver's licenses.
  • Experience monitoring security radios.
  • Teamwork skills.
  • Ability to act as a backup for other administrative assistants.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Ability to attend staff meetings and professional learning.
  • Knowledge of governmental laws, state mandates, and Lindbergh policies.
  • Experience creating digital passes.
  • Familiarity with Google Docs.
  • Ability to work with grade level administrative assistants.
  • Experience managing lost and found.

Responsibilities

  • Handles incoming calls and messages.
  • Tracks attendance for the entire school via attendance voicemail, email, and SIS.
  • Follows up with parents/guardians on attendance of their children.
  • Monitors E-Hall pass and student attendance throughout the day in classes to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Records all late arrivals, and early dismissals for students and verifies identification of person picking up student.
  • Collects information, documentation, forms, etc. from families/students as needed.
  • Assists with building security in regards to visitors and personnel access including but not limited to: verifying reason for visit, scanning visitors’ driver's license, monitoring security radios.
  • Functions as a team member carrying out shared responsibilities of the office.
  • Acts as a backup for other building administrative assistants as needed.
  • Assists administrators, teachers, staff, students, families, and community as needed.
  • Provides professional and courteous customer service to all parents, staff, and visitors.
  • Attends staff meetings and professional learning as directed.
  • Performs all work in accordance with governmental laws, state mandates, and Lindbergh policies.
  • Checking in and creating digital pass for late student arrivals and early dismissals.
  • Monitoring and checking the nurses google doc sheet for students leaving from the nurse’s office.
  • Works with grade level administrative assistants at semester to minimize no credits on report cards.
  • Manages lost and found for the high school.
