About The Position

This position involves providing administrative support and coordination of activities for specific teams of people. The primary role will be the admission process, which includes attending outside marketing events, making connections with other facilities, completing administrative tasks such as answering phones, taking messages, and answering basic location questions. The role also involves conducting facility tours and educational sessions to prospective residents, coordinating the resident move-in process, handling admission paperwork, and ensuring a smooth transition from referring facility to the location. Additionally, the position provides location orientation to residents upon move-in and visits with discharge planners, family members, and members of the interdisciplinary team to promote the location and its services. Data entry into the electronic medical record (EMR) accurately is also a key responsibility. The role may also involve assisting the Social Services Manager with tasks such as completing resident interviews or getting trained in completing assessments needed for social services. The facility is a 64-bed senior skilled nursing facility specializing in assisted living, long-term, and post-acute care services.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Applicable experience preferred
  • Based on facility needs, may require a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record

Responsibilities

  • Entering data in to the electronic medical record (EMR) accurately
  • Assisting the Social Services Manager when needed with tasks, such as completing resident interviews or getting trained in completing assessments that are needed for social services
  • Composing, typing, and distributing meeting notes, routine correspondence, presentations, billing, reimbursement, or monthly reports
  • Maintaining vacation schedule and managing schedules for the department
  • Ordering and dispensing supplies
  • Performing payroll functions, such as maintaining timekeeping information, processing and submitting to payroll
  • Maintaining master copies of company policy and procedure manuals; keeping them up-to-date
