About The Position

This role will primarily focus on the admission process, including attending outside marketing events, making connections with other facilities, and completing administrative tasks. The position involves conducting facility tours and educational sessions for prospective residents, coordinating the resident move-in process, and ensuring a smooth transition from referring facilities. The role also includes providing location orientation to residents, visiting with discharge planners and family members to promote the facility, and accurately entering data into the electronic medical record (EMR). Additionally, there will be opportunities to assist the Social Services Manager with tasks such as completing resident interviews or getting trained in completing assessments. The facility is a 64-bed senior skilled nursing facility specializing in assisted living, long-term, and post-acute care services.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Applicable experience preferred
  • May require a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record

Responsibilities

  • Attending outside marketing events
  • Making connections with other facilities
  • Answering phones, taking messages and answering basic location questions
  • Conducting facility tours and educational sessions to prospective residents
  • Coordinating resident move-in process, including the handling of admission paperwork
  • Ensuring smooth transition from referring facility to location
  • Providing location orientation to resident upon move-in
  • Visiting with discharge planners, family members and members of the interdisciplinary team to promote the location and the use of services provided
  • Entering data in to the electronic medical record (EMR) accurately
  • Assisting the Social Services Manager when needed with tasks, such as completing resident interviews or getting trained in completing assessments that are needed for social services
  • Composing, typing, and distributing meeting notes, routine correspondence, presentations, billing, reimbursement, or monthly reports
  • Maintaining vacation schedule and managing schedules for the department
  • Ordering and dispensing supplies
  • Performing payroll functions, such as maintaining timekeeping information, processing and submitting to payroll
  • Maintaining master copies of company policy and procedure manuals; keeping them up-to-date
