About The Position

The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for an Administrative Assistant 3 for the College of Liberal Arts. This position will report to the Military Science/Army ROTC department. This position serves as a primary administrative point of contact for students, parents, faculty, cadre, university offices, federal military personnel, and external partners. Screens and responds to inquiries, determines appropriate routing or action, explains department and university procedures, and ensures issues are elevated to the appropriate cadre or university office when required. This position also provides administrative support related to ROTC student participation, academic coordination, course support, enrollment-related documentation, grade verification, transcript and degree verification, registrar coordination, academic advisor coordination, and student record maintenance. The Administrative Assistant 3 will coordinate administrative support for ROTC events, classes, ceremonies, recruiting events, training events, and official visits.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent education
  • Three years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: maintenance of complex records and files; public/customer relations including explaining detailed policies, regulations and requirements; preparation and processing of financial and statistical documents such as payroll, travel, claims and budgeting forms; and assisting staff and management with projects and activities
  • OR One year of experience as an Administrative Assistant II in Nevada State service
  • OR An equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
