About The Position

The University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) is recruiting for an Administrative Assistant 3 for the College of Liberal Arts, reporting to the Military Science/Army ROTC department. This role serves as a primary administrative point of contact for students, parents, faculty, cadre, university offices, federal military personnel, and external partners. The position involves screening and responding to inquiries, determining appropriate routing or action, explaining department and university procedures, and ensuring issues are escalated when required. Additionally, it provides administrative support for ROTC student participation, academic coordination, course support, enrollment-related documentation, grade verification, transcript and degree verification, registrar coordination, academic advisor coordination, and student record maintenance. The Administrative Assistant 3 will also coordinate administrative support for ROTC events, classes, ceremonies, recruiting events, training events, and official visits.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent education
  • Three years of progressively responsible relevant work experience including maintenance of complex records and files; public/customer relations including explaining detailed policies, regulations and requirements; preparation and processing of financial and statistical documents such as payroll, travel, claims and budgeting forms; and assisting staff and management with projects and activities
  • OR One year of experience as an Administrative Assistant II in Nevada State service
  • OR An equivalent combination of education and experience
