The University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant 3 for the Orvis School of Nursing. This role will provide support to the Associate Dean for Strategic Partnerships and Practice and the Associate Dean for Inclusive Excellence and Belonging. The position is crucial for coordinating operations, managing faculty appointment processes, fostering community partnerships, supporting engagement initiatives, and handling fiscal activities that align with the school's mission and strategic goals. Key duties include managing complex calendars and communications, coordinating meetings, committees, programs, and events, preparing various documents such as correspondence, reports, and presentations, and arranging travel with reimbursement processing. The Administrative Assistant will act as a liaison to clinical affiliates, community partners, faculty, staff, students, and other stakeholders to strengthen relationships and support collaborative efforts. The position also involves supporting Clinical Track Faculty appointment and onboarding, coordinating outreach and professional development activities, and providing administrative support for initiatives that promote inclusive excellence, belonging, student success, and community engagement. Additional responsibilities include maintaining records, assisting with special projects, coordinating communications and event logistics, and processing purchasing, P-Card reconciliations, and other fiscal transactions in compliance with University and NSHE policies. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing multiple priorities in a dynamic setting, exercise sound judgment, work independently, and handle confidential information discreetly. They should also be skilled at building positive relationships with diverse partners and contributing to a collaborative and welcoming environment within the Orvis School of Nursing.
