About The Position

The University of Nevada, College of Education is recruiting for an Administrative Assistant 3 to support the Multi-Tiered System of Support Project (MTSS) administrative team. This position does not provide layoff rights and is contingent upon funding. This position supports the implementation of designated project activities by providing comprehensive administrative and programmatic assistance. Key responsibilities include assisting with the planning and coordination of internal MTSS initiatives; collecting, entering, and managing information within established databases; generating accurate and timely reports; and maintaining organized program records. The role also supports staff travel efforts and creation of printed materials to promote program engagement. Working collaboratively with the MTSS administrative team, this position helps keep the internal staff organized, supports program operations, supports program staff on knowledge of programmatic processes, and maintains program inventory. The position reports to the Assistant Director, NCED, who provides direct supervision and oversees administrative support functions for the NCED group.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent education
  • Three (3) years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: maintenance of complex records and files; public/customer relations including explaining detailed policies, regulations and requirements; preparation and processing of financial and statistical documents such as payroll, travel, claims and budgeting forms; and assisting staff and management with projects and activities; OR One (1) year of experience as an Administrative Assistant II in Nevada State service; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
