About The Position

The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a highly organized and service-oriented Administrative Assistant 3 for the College of Liberal Arts, Advising Center to support the Assistant Dean of Academic Success, Academic Advisors and Coordinators. This position will act as scheduler and record keeper for the Courses & Curriculum Committee and will direct and train student workers. Duties of this position include but are not limited to; email and phone communication, retention outreach, student and advisor inquiries on processes, deadlines, forms, data and general questions, scheduling advising appointments, scheduling meeting rooms, coordinating travel, coordinating bids, and manage general office operations. This position will be responsible for search coordinator duties such as screening, scheduling interviews and HR documents for administrative faculty positions. The Administrative Assistant 3 will update college student resource websites, review department websites, manage content, disseminate newsletters for students and faculty advisors, assist with the development of informational materials.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent education.
  • Three (3) years of progressively responsible relevant work experience, including experience in one or more of the following areas: maintenance of complex records and files; public/customer relations including explaining detailed policies, regulations and requirements; preparation and processing of financial and statistical documents such as payroll, travel, claims and budgeting forms; and assisting staff and management with projects and activities.
  • OR One (1) year of experience as an Administrative Assistant II in Nevada State service.
  • OR An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities
