About The Position

Southeastern Louisiana University's Center for Faculty Excellence invites applications for the position of Administrative Assistant 3. This position serves as clerical support for the Director of the Center for Faculty Excellence (CFE). It is the mission of the CFE to facilitate the professional development of faculty in their pursuit of excellence in teaching, research and service. This mission is accomplished through a variety of programs, grants, workshops and special activities. The Director of the CFE reports to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. Current Salary: $13.77/hour AN IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD POSSESS THE FOLLOWING COMPETENCIES Communicating Effectively: The ability to relay information correctly and appropriately to connect people and ideas Demonstrating Accountability: The ability to accept ownership for your actions, behaviors, performance, and decisions Focusing on Customers: The ability to serve the needs of those who support and/or rely on the services provided

Requirements

  • Two years of experience in administrative services.
  • Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to be certified through the Southeastern Defensive Driving Course
  • Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.
  • Any qualifying experience that is based on college credit/hours will require a transcript for verification
  • Any college hours or degree must be from a school accredited by one of the following regional accrediting bodies: the Middle States Commission on Higher Education; the New England Association of Schools and Colleges; the Higher Learning Commission; the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities; the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools; and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
