About The Position

This position serves as the primary administrative contact for the Saturday Clinic Student Education Clinics and the Pre-doctoral Endodontic Clinic within the UNLV School of Dental Medicine. The incumbent provides dedicated support for scheduling, patient paperwork, chart setup, clinic reports, phone coverage, student clinician assignment, and bilingual (Spanish/English) patient communication. The position independently administers the application intake and eligibility review process and serves as the primary scheduling and insurance verification contact for clinic screening sessions. The role spans two distinct clinical programs, each with its own patient population and operational workflow, and coordinates among faculty, students, patients, and external referral partners. Daily assignments subject to change at the discretion of the Dean of Clinical Services or designee. Perform other duties as assigned. Works at the Shadow Lane Campus from 8am to 5pm.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent education and two years of clerical and administrative support experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: maintaining records and files; preparing a variety of materials using a personal computer or word processor; assisting customers in completing forms and applications; and/or performing secretarial duties in support of professional staff.
  • OR one year of experience as an Administrative Assistant I in Nevada State service.
  • OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
  • Must be able to communicate in Spanish/English.
