About The Position

The Data Modernization and Innovation Office (DMIO) is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Administrative Assistant 2 to join their dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is passionate about supporting innovative work that impacts Alaskans statewide. The incumbent will be a vital piece of DMIO’s Administrative Team, assisting with an array of administrative functions. This position supports office operations in Fairbanks while also assisting DMIO statewide. This is a great opportunity to grow administrative skills which can lead to promotional opportunities in the future.

Requirements

  • Six months of entry-level technical experience in one or more administrative functional areas such as human resources, accounting, administration, and procurement.
  • One year of advanced-level clerical experience.
  • One year of post-secondary education from an accredited college (32 semester hours or 48 quarter hours equals 1 year)
  • One year of any combination of post-secondary education, vocational education, and/or advanced-level clerical experience.
  • Must obtain an Alaska Limited governmental Notary Public upon hire.

  • Attention to Detail: Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.

  • Computer Skills: Uses computers, software applications, databases, and automated systems to accomplish work.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the DMIO Team
  • Assist with processing payroll and accounts payables
  • Assist with travel processes, procurement, and file management
  • Assist with personnel changes (onboarding, transfers, promotions, etc.)
  • Help with DMIO recruitment needs
  • Support office operations in Fairbanks, while also assisting DMIO statewide
