About The Position

Southeastern Louisiana University's Office of Career Services invites applications for the Administrative Assistant 2 position. The Office of Career Services assists Southeastern students and alumni with their career exploration and job search processes by providing a wide array of valuable career advising and job search assistance. This position provides clerical and administrative support for the Office of Career Services professional and part-time staff. This position requires knowledge of various types of computer software for word processing, creation of spreadsheets and presentations, making budget adjustments, keeping time, conducting searches via the Internet, communicating via email, scheduling appointments for staff, registering students, alumni, and employers with our office recruitment software system, assisting in the coordination of on-campus interviews, career and job events, and resume referrals. Career Services works with all academic departments on campus to serve the student body.

Requirements

  • One year of experience in administrative services.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Able to be certified through the Southeastern Defensive Driving Course.
