About The Position

Under supervision, provides customer service to internal and external customers, answers questions, responds to email, and answers multi-line phone system. Verifies data in computerized systems and assists with troubleshooting simple issues. Updating and maintaining client data in system records. Performs a variety of additional administrative support tasks to the area of assignment. Supports a diverse, respectful, and inclusive workplace.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in business, administrative assistant, or related field.
  • OR Combination of education and experience equivalent to two (2) year of experience in a customer-focused position.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is a necessary component of job/position.
  • Individuals required to use County vehicles and equipment must have a valid driver’s license and be free of any major traffic violations for the last three (3) years.
  • Knowledge of office procedures and equipment.
  • Knowledge of policies, regulations, procedures, and practices pertaining to the area of specialization.
  • Knowledge of community resources.
  • Skill in the use of computers and technology.
  • Ability to perform administrative tasks.
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of information.
  • Ability to enter data quickly and accurately, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize daily work tasks while experiencing multiple interruptions.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to recommend solutions to problems.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains records and files in multiple data bases.
  • Contacts state entities for data verification and maintenance.
  • Provides trouble-shooting assistance on computers, software applications, office equipment, and provides technology support in conference rooms.
  • Provides computer and office equipment support to department users.
  • Provides administrative support to Adult & Family Services staff and leadership.
  • Answers phone lines for health housing and human services.
  • Sorts and scans mail into the electronic management system.
