This full-time apprenticeship offers the opportunity to gain experience in individual giving for higher education and the performing arts. Reporting to the Senior Director of Principal and Major Gifts, ideal candidates possess a passion for the performing arts, strong interest in nonprofit fundraising, and are effective communicators, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. This is a hybrid position with work both in-person and remote. The schedule is typically Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm, and may vary depending on evening and weekend event staffing needs. Campus presence is expected as per the schedule determined with the supervisor. The salary is $18.50per hour (40 hours per week for 40 weeks) or a contracted amount of $29,600 for the school year. About our Development Team: The Principal and Major Gifts team is highly collaborative and consists of five people as part of the larger Development team. Key outcomes for the apprentice role include: Administrative and practical experience in development work, including donor research, cultivation strategy, solicitation preparation, and stewardship of donors. Opportunities to work alongside fundraising professionals and learn about all areas of development. Gain valuable knowledge about Raiser's Edge NXT and database best practices. About the Professional Apprentice Program: This program provides immersive training for emerging performing arts technicians and administrators, addressing the need for practical training in the field. For over four decades, it has prepared recent graduates, early-career professionals, and individuals undergoing career transitions for employment in the cultural sector. This is achieved through hands-on experience, professional development, and networking and mentorship opportunities.
