About The Position

The responsibilities of the position are to be established and carried out in accordance with the mission of Lyon College in accordance with U.S. Department of Education regulations.

Requirements

  • High School diploma required.
  • Supervisory skills for overseeing part-time staff.
  • Excellent organizational, data analysis, technology, communication, supervisory, and time management skills.
  • Current driver's license and ability to drive college owned vehicles as necessary

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact between the program, participants, families, target schools, and the community at large.
  • Coordinate and facilitate recruitment efforts at target schools as well as the evaluation and onboarding of new participants including, but not limited to, compiling application materials, verifying eligibility, conducting interviews, managing paperwork, and attending orientation sessions.
  • Identify and coordinate guest speakers for Academic Enrichment Sessions based on needs and feedback provided by the Curriculum and Programming Coordinator.
  • Maintain all program paper and electronic database files for current and former participants per regulatory and grant requirements.
  • Collect, maintain, and analyze data necessary for annual performance report submission and assist with program evaluation and assessment.
  • Request, dispense, and record all participants stipends for the Academic and Summer Sessions.
  • Coordinate the program's communication efforts including, but not limited to, mailings, emails, text messages, and the program's website and social media platforms.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee the strategic plan for alumni tracking and correspondence.
  • Coordinate, order, and maintain an inventory of all program and office supplies.
  • Facilitate workshops and sessions during the academic and summer programming as needed.
  • Contribute to Summer Session planning and implementation.
  • Serve as main office-based staff member during Summer Session and coordinate communication and supplies for students, full-time, and part-time staff.
  • Assist with tracking Modified Student progress as assigned by Curriculum and Programming Coordinator and Assistant Director.
  • Serve as supervisor and primary point of contact for the part-time Administrative Assistant.
  • IF DEGREED, serve as an Academic Advisor to program participants and conduct advising sessions as assigned.
