Responsible for providing leadership in managing regulatory compliance and safety programs for the City’s Sanitation and Landfill Departments. This includes Residential, Commercial, and Brush collection operations, Landfill operations, and Transfer Station activities. Ensures full compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations (including TCEQ, DOT/FMCSA, OSHA, EPA, and related requirements). Fosters a proactive safety culture across a workforce of approximately 130 drivers and operational staff. Leads safety initiatives, risk mitigation strategies, training programs, and continuous improvement efforts to reduce incidents, protect employees and the public, and ensure operational excellence. May supervise assigned staff as directed.
