Idaho Falls Community Hospital is looking for an Administrative Aide to join our team! JOB SUMMARY: The MedSurg Administrative Aide is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and office support to the MedSurg unit leadership team. This ancillary role ensures efficient operational workflows and optimal patient care by assisting with scheduling, resource management, and communication. The individual in this position acts as a crucial link between the leadership team and staff, promoting seamless coordination and collaboration. Requirements

  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
  • Minimum or 1 year experience in administrative support experience, preferably in healthcare setting.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the MedSurg unit leadership team with administrative tasks and special projects.
  • Prepare and manage correspondence, reports, and documents for the leadership team.
  • Ensure adequate coverage for all shifts.
  • Coordinate with the management team to address staffing needs and adjust schedules as necessary.
  • Monitor and manage time-off requests, ensuring minimal disruption to unit operations.
  • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a point of contact between staff and the leadership team.
  • Facilitate effective communication and problem-solving among staff members.
  • Relay important information and updates from the leadership team to staff.
